Lisa Ann Williamson

Lisa Ann is a multimedia journalist and grant writer based in New York City.

Her media career began running a studio camera and editing video tape as a production assistant at a CBS affiliate in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where she also produced and hosted Early Word, a program that highlighted the people and events in the Northeast Iowa community.

What started as a year-long quest to further develop writing skills at a daily newspaper has evolved into a fulfilling journalism career as a staff writer for the Cedar Rapids Gazette, The Grand Rapids Press and the Staten Island Advance. In the paper, Lisa Ann has covered beats from crime to transportation, education, food, religion, theater and features. Her multimedia experience includes producing and editing web-based videos and writing a theater blog. Her work appears on SILive.com.

As a grant writer, her expertise is in education, human services and arts funding.
